The weekend of February 28th to March 2nd, I played Mr Dooba Dee Doo, the oldest and wisest of all the Dooples, in this children's musical about writing utensils that come to life and learn about reading and writing and communication. The Dooples was originally a children's book written by Dr. Lynn Hunter. The music for the show was composed by Charles Mandracchia.

The picture to the left is from our segment on the Today Show which aired
on the morning of March 2nd. The full cast couldn't attend that morning, but our run more than sold out every night, and we anticipate another run this coming summer!

Last month, I booked a role in Have a Good Day!, a Lithuanian opera that premiered with acclaim in Lithuania and is premiering in the US this month at the PROTOTYPE Festival at the HERE Arts Center. "[Ten] faceless, robot-like [cashier-women] found in everyday life are transformed into unique and lively characters; their secret thoughts and biographies are turned into short, personal dramas."

The production also cast two local NY actors to play Security Guards who would be in such a mega-store environment. One of them being me.

January 15th - 19th
HERE Arts Center - Mainstage
145 6th Avenue, New York, NY - Entry on Dominick St.

Last month, I booked a role in famed Shadowbox Theater Company's production of The African Drum. It is a children's musical shadow puppetry production touring the five boroughs, but based in Brooklyn, running from January 28th - March 15th.

I get to use various character voices, while playing Mchomba, the child abducting villain; Osebo the Leopard, a bully with the biggest drum; and Watusi the Warrior, a brightly-painted warrior in a world of grey animals.

Next week, I start Monday-Friday daytime rehearsals. Stay tuned!
